1 (32 ounce) bag frozen Hash brown potatoes, thawed [I use the cubed type, “Ore Ida Southern style”]
1 pint half and half
6 Tablespoons butter
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Thaw hash browns and place in a 13x9 pan.
Melt butter in half & half.
Pour over potatoes.
Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Remove cover, add cheese, and cook another 15 minutes to brown.
