2 kiwis, peeled and diced
2 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored and diced
8 ounces raspberries
1 pound of strawberries, diced
2 tablespoons white sugar (more or less to taste)
1 tablespoon brown sugar (more or less to taste)
3 tablespoons fruit preserves, any flavor (I used
Serve with Stacy's cinnamon chips or cinnamon graham crackers
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix kiwis, apples, raspberries, strawberries, white sugar, brown sugar and fruit preserves. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes. This is best made the same day and not too far ahead of time so your apples don' t start browning and the fruit gives off too much juice and it gets runny.
Serve with cinnamon graham crackers or Cinnamon pita Chips. Best when made and eaten the same day.
I added blueberries for the 4th. This makes a lot. Serve with a slotted spoon if it is runny. When not serving it at home it does get juicy. I think it is good even several days later. Next time I might put less or now sugar. I found the pita chips the first time, used cinnamon graham crackers the second time. I also used my onion dicer with the larger insert to make small even dice for the fruits that needed it. Left Overs.......we added more fruits, sliced larger and had fruit salad. Without the apples it would make an good topping for ice cream!
