Homemade MINT Chocolate Chips

Homemade MINT Chocolate Chips

Though this idea, which came out when mint chocolate chips were hard to find, is for MINT flavored chips, I think it would work with other extracts, such as raspberry.
Ingredients:
1 (12-ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract or peppermint flavoring
Instructions:
Place 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestlé Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels in a medium, heavy-duty plastic bag or container.
Add 1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract; seal bag or cover container.
Shake to coat.
Store for 24 hours to allow sufficient time for morsels to absorb the mint extract.
Don’t have 24 hours to spare?
Here is what we recommend.
The results are almost as good as waiting 24 hours.
Place 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestlé Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels in a medium, heavy-duty plastic bag or container.
Add 1/2 teaspoon pure peppermint extract; seal bag or cover container.
Shake to coat.

The mint-flavored morsels can be added directly to your recipe or melted according to morsel package directions.
