Prime Rib - Wonderful Rib Roast
You can't go wrong with this treatment of your next Rib Roast!
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup prepared yellow mustard
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons salad oil
1/2 teaspoon cracked or coarse pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 4 to 5 pound rib roast
Add it to the mustard, soy sauce, oil, pepper and ginger.
Place roast on a rack in an open roasting pan.
Use a pastry brush and brush half of the mustard mixture over the top of the roast.
Roast in a 350° F oven to 140° F for rare, or cook longer for medium.
A few minutes before the roast is done, brush the roast with the remaining mustard mixture.
Place back in oven and roast till desired doneness.
Remove meat from oven.
Let stand a few minutes before slicing.
(The mustard glaze seals in the juices.)
Next time you have a Rib Roast try this method. The combination has an awesome flavor and we enjoy it as much as the salt crusted roast.
Please remember: NO NOT pierce the meat. Cover it when you take it out and let it stand before slicing.
