Cornbread Dressing

This is another of my MIL's recipes. Now that she lives with us, we have it about once a month using stewed chicken instead of turkey.
Ingredients:

Make cornbread :
3 large eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons baking powder

For dressing:
1 recipe cornbread (see above)
1 or 2 slices bread
1 to 2 cups turkey broth
1 medium onion, minced
1 Tablespoon sage, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 large eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped turkey
1 can cream of chicken soup (she likes the Campbell's Healthy Request kind)

Instructions:

For Cornbread:
Mix together and pour into an 8 inch iron skillet sprayed with Pam.
Bake in a 450º F oven for 20-25 minutes or till done.
This should be made the day before or early in the day you plan to make dressing.

For Dressing:
Crumble cornbread and loaf bread into a large bowl.
Pour 1 cup broth over crumbs.
Add onion, sage, pepper, eggs, turkey, and soup.
Mix all ingredients well.
This should be a sort of chunky batter, add more broth if needed.
Place into a 9x13 greased pan.
Bake at 375º F for 30 to 40 minutes or till middle doesn't jiggle.
