Audrey's Pear Preserves
This was shared by one of my husband's co-workers. I've never made it, I've never had a washtub full of pears!
1 washtub of cut up pears
10 pounds sugar
Add sugar to the pears and squeeze the lemon into it. Let sit 12-24 hours. Cook to desired thickness, about 2 hours. Add more sugar if a lot of water was pulled out of the pears.
Put into pint canning jars and process in boiling water bath.
