This Brownie Mug Cake should suit both the 'fudgy' crowd and the 'cakey' crowd as it is a mix of the two. I also did a bit of frosting for those that have to ruin their brownies.
BTW, my 'mug' is a 2 1/4 cup capacity 'souffle' dish??? It is about 4" across and 3" deep.
3 Tablespoons flour
4 Tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1 large egg
1 splash vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tablespoon chopped walnuts
2 Tablespoons milk
2 1/2 Tablespoons oil
Mix the flour, sugar and cocoa powder in the mug.
Add the egg and vanilla and blend to moisten ALL the dry ingredients.
Add the chips, nuts, milk and oil.
Mix until thoroughly blended.
Cook for 3 minutes in microwave (1000W).
Open microwave (at this time you can sprinkle top with more chips if you MUST HAVE FROSTING.).
Cook an additional 1 1/2 minutes (2 1/2 if frosting with the chips).
Spread the melted chips over the entire surface (if using).
