Linda's Rice Pilaf
I invented a yummy rice dish today... Just made a small amount...
1/2 cup basmatti rice in 1 cup of water.
Added 1/2 teaspoon of salt
a handful of orange flavored craisins
a handful of almonds
1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic.
Covered and simmered it for 20 minutes, and served with a salad and baked salmon.
It's nutty and kinda sweet, delicious.
I'd like to try raisins sometime if I don't have craisins.
