A friend of mine shared this recipe with me recently, and it was good
7 large Granny Smith apples
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, cold & cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 3 1/2 ounce package cook-n-serve butterscotch pudding mix
(optional)-ice cream for serving
Peel and thinly slice the apples and place them in the bottom of a lightly greased slow cooker.
In a medium-size mixing bowl put the brown sugar, oats, flour, butter, cinnamon, and butterscotch pudding mix (not instant).
Mix together with a pastry cutter.
Pour mix over the apples.
Cook on low for 5 hours.
Serve warm with ice cream.
