6 cups apples, cored, peeled and sliced
3 cups cranberries
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 to 2 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
3/4 cup butter, sliced and divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar, packed
Garnish: vanilla ice cream
Toss together apple slices, cranberries, sugar and cinnamon.
Spread in a buttered 13"x9" baking pan.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with 1/4 cup butter.
Blend remaining butter with flour and brown sugar until crumbly; sprinkle over apple mixture.
Bake for 60 minutes at 350º F.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
