Using peppermint extract or substitutions
The flavoring extracted from peppemint leaves. Used as food and beverage flavoring. Some extracts are concentrated and require as much as 1/3 less than ordinary extracts. Make sure to read the bottle.
Substitute peppermint oil at a ratio of 1 to 4 (1 part oil is equivalent of 4 parts extract).
It is good to know what you can use/substitute when a recipe calls for something you don't have in your cabinet/cupboard.
