Japanese Sweet Mayonnaise Dipping Sauce
This is wonderful, but I have never had any at a restaurant, so I don't know how it compares. I had several similar recipes for it, and the amount of some of the ingredients varies. I can't remember exactly how I made it, but I would start with the least amount mentioned, then add more to your taste. It sounds like this is what you are looking for.
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon sugar (another version uses 1 teaspoon)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic juice (another version uses 1 Tablespoon)
3 or 4 Tablespoons ketchup
1 Tablespoon ground ginger (another version uses 1 teaspoon)
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon white pepper
Whisk all ingredients together.
Store covered in the refrigerator.
