1 to 2 pounds sirloin, tenderize if necessary, cut into 1" pieces
1 or 2 medium green peppers, cut into 1" squares
1 medium onion, cut into 1" squares
1 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
2 to 3 Tablespoons cooking oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
dash Accent (optional)
1 can beef broth
1/4 to 1/2 cup cooking sherry
1 Tablespoon Oyster sauce (optional)
(1/4 pound Mushrooms and/or 2 medium tomatoes may be added just before serving - optional)
Heat oil in large skillet or wok.
Sauté garlic and onion quickly.
Add meat and saute quickly.
Remove from pan.
Sauté peppers and any other vegetables (one vegetable at a time to retain individual flavors )quickly, remove from pan.
Drain any fat.
Add wine, broth, seasonings and oyster sauce.
Cover and cook a few minutes until meat and vegetables are cooked through and heated.
Thicken with cornstarch and water.
Serve over rice.
