Chicken Paprikash :rectnt

Chicken Paprikash

The original was off a can of Franco American (now called Campbell's) gravy and was somewhat easier, I have changed the recipe a bit over the years, but it is still easy.
Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons flour
2 pounds chicken parts or about 6 boneless breasts
3 Tablespoons shortening
1 can chicken gravy
1/3 cup sour cream
1 cup sliced onion
1 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:
Flour chicken.
Brown in shortening, pour off fat.
Remove chicken to plate.
Stir in remaining ingredients, return chicken to pan.
Cover, simmer 45 minutes or till chicken is done and tender.
Stir occasionally.

Serve over rice or noodles (home made spaetzle is great!!!)
