Hit of the camp 'Souper' Supper.
8 slices thick bacon chopped, browned and drained
1 large onion, chopped and cooked until translucent
8 pork sausages (1 1/2 pounds pork sausage) browned
8 ounces pepperoni sliced very thick
1 15-ounce can diced or chopped tomatoes
1 15-ounce can stewed tomatoes
1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
2 to 3 Tablespoons tomato paste
3 or 4 cans beans, choose from the following: kidney beans, butter beans, black-eyed peas, pinto beans, or garbanzos
oregano to taste
1/4 cup white wine - optional
(I spice with several other spices also)
(Italian or whatever you like.)
Simmer a long time.
Even better the second day.

This is a recipe that my sister made for camp and I made for a dinner group souper supper samples of 5 kinds of soup. I am not sure where my sister got the recipe. I think you can "play" around with this if you want to add more tomatoes, etc., after you try the recipe the first time. I may have posted this b/4. I used various tomato products that already had the Italian spices so didn't need to use additional spices.
