Popcorn - Creole Style
For a spicier treat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
3 bags plain or butter light popcorn, popped
1 cup dried roasted peanuts
2 cups Frito lay corn chips, slightly crushed
1/3 cup butter
3 Tablespoons hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon Celery seed (optional)
1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Melt butter in a small sauce pan add hot sauce, Creole seasoning and celery seed and stir to combine.
Once butter has completely melted, remove from heat, place 2 cups popcorn in a small bowl and remaining popcorn in a large mixing bowl with corn chips and peanuts.
Pour butter mixture over popcorn, mix and toss to coat, then pour onto foil lined baking sheet and place in pre-heated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove, mix in reserve popcorn, serve immediately or let cool and store in an airtight container.
