FYI: Recipe Note Tips - Christmas and New Year's Parties
Christmas and New Year’s Parties! Although hosting a party can be a daunting prospect when the planning is in its initial stages, the final product is so much fun that it is worth every minute of hard work you invest! Our party tips will help lay the foundation for a holiday get-together that is guaranteed to be a blast!
* Cook in advance. Cut down on day-of-the-party stress by whipping up a selection of freezable dishes and storing them in airtight containers. Bake them on the day of your shindig and get ready to party!
* Make your bubbly blush! Freeze fruit juices in ice cube containers and place one festive cube in each champagne flute or wine glass before pouring in your favorite beverage. Edible flowers frozen into ice cubes or water–filled ring pans also make excellent decorations to float in a punchbowl.
* Keep coffee on hand. Coffee is not only an excellent eye-opener for the sleepy-heads at your party, but it can be combined with brandy or whiskey and garnished with whipped cream and sprinkles to make a delicious and warming late-night cocktail.
