Pioneer Onion Strips
So simple it doesn't really warrant a recipe...BUT, someone might pass over the post and in a month Oz won't remember his own name let alone this recipe...so here goes, for the record!
onions, thinly sliced
buttermilk, to marinate
salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
Slice onions thinly and marinate in buttermilk for an hour.
Meanwhile heat deep fryer to 375º F.
Dredge marinated onions in seasoned flour.
Fry until crispy and brown.
