Five Cup Salad
This refreshing fruit salad, so simple to prepare, is wonderfully refreshing on a hot summer day!
1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup miniature marshmallows (colored are pretty, but mother always used white)
1 cup sour cream
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Cover and refrigerate at least one hour or overnight before serving.
My mother made a similar version, although she added green seedless grapes to hers, so I suppose HERS was a SIX cup salad! :) The six cup version is T&T true! I think the salad is best when refrigerated overnight before serving.
