Radiatore Pasta with Hot Italian Sausage and Broccoli
Necessity, the mother of invention. The Hot Italian Ground Sausage was marked down so I needed to come up with something to do with it...(I couldn't leave it at the store...it was MARKED DOWN!)
1 pound radiatore pasta
2 pounds hot italian ground sausage
1 1/2 pounds broccoli florets
2 cans diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
10 to 12 fresh basil leaves
Greek yogurt for garnish
Add pasta to rapidly boiling well salted water.
Brown lightly the sausage and add in the broccoli.
When the sausage is cooked, stir in the diced tomatoes with juice.
Sauté for 4 or 5 minutes to heat through and add the basil leaves.
Add the drained pasta to the sauce and mix to combine.
Serve topped with Greek yogurt as a flavorful garnish.
Recipe by oz. This was a big hit even with the small kids. Extra helpings all around. This amount would probably serve 8 or 10. The photo shows it with the Stuffed Mushrooms from the earlier post.
