2 cups plain flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup walnuts chopped (I used pecans)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese softened
2 Tablespoons milk
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups apples peeled and chopped (I used stewed apples)
Combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs.
Measure 2 cups crumb mixture into a greased 9x13 pan.
Beat cream cheese and milk until smooth.
Mix in egg, sugar and vanilla.
Pour over crumb mixture, and top with apples.
Sprinkle with the reserved crumbs and bake for 30 minutes at 350º F.
