We have a late night snack that we make when we want something sweet and it is soooo late we don't want to wait for something to cook or bake. A friend of DD Jennifer's made some baked wonton 'cookies' one night and then Jennifer took the idea and ran with it. It takes 15 minutes from start to eating.
butter flavored no-stick spray
12 regular wonton wrappers
2 medium fresh peaches (or other fruit)
4 Tablespoons peach preserves (or other fruit preserves)
sweetened whipped cream or whipped topping
Preheat oven to 400º F.
Line a jelly-roll pan with foil.
Spray foil with butter flavored no-stick spray.
Lay the wonton wrappers on the pan in a single layer (I can get 15 on one sheet but I do 12 at a time).
Spray tops of wontons with butter flavored no-stick spray.
Sprinkle tops with cinnamon sugar.
Bake for 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and place one wonton on each of 4 serving plates.
Top each wonton with a couple of slices of fresh peach and a dab of preserves.
Put a spoonful of whipped cream on each.
Place a second wonton on top on each plate and repeat with the peaches and preserves and whipped cream.
Place a third wonton on top of each plate and repeat as before.
Serves 4 (3 wontons in each Napoleon)
Takes 15 minutes from start to finish.
Posted by oz. DD Jennifer and I just ate the dessert pictured (each of us got one). She just used preserves and whipped topping between the layers as we only had bananas. She made 14 wontons and divided them 7 and 7 so we got extra crispy wontons between the filling layers. YUMMM!
