2 pounds butternut or buttercup squash, cored and 1/2 inch sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 Tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mace
2 medium baking apples
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Cut squash in half; seed and pare, cut into 1/2 inch slices.
Stir together remaining ingredients except apples.
Arrange squash in 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 dish.
Top with apple slices.
Sprinkle sugar mixture on top; cover with foil.
Bake 50-60 minutes until squash is tender.
