Hot Peppered Beef
Makes 4 servings.
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
4 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic cloves, minced
4 Tablespoons peanut oil
2/3 pound broccoli, chopped
2/3 pound carrot, sliced
2/3 pound sirloin steak, sliced
3 Tablespoons chopped green onions
In a small bowl combine cornstarch, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic cloves; mix well and set aside.
In a deep skillet, heat peanut oil and stir-fry chopped broccoli and sliced carrots for 2 minutes.
Stir in sliced sirloin steak and cook 2 minutes more.
Add the sauce and cook 1 to 1 1/2 minutes more.
Garnish with chopped green onions.
