4 slices bacon, diced
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth
Toppings * see note
In two quart pan, cook bacon until crisp.
Remove and drain
Add the onion, green chiles and garlic, cook covered over low heat about 10 minutes, or till tender but not brown, stirring occasionally
Stir in refried beans and chicken broth, and bring to a simmer
Add several dashes of Tabasco sauce, ground black pepper to taste, and cooked bacon.
Serve in bowls, add toppings as desired.
Flour tortillas go great with this dish.
