Sub Sandwiches

Inspired by Subway sandwich shops, these are easy to prepare at home and can be as thick as you can handle.
Ingredients:

For each sandwich, use the following:
1 sub or hoagie roll
mayonnaise
mustard
2 to 3 varieties of thin sliced lunch meat
1 ounce sliced cheese (cheddar or Monterey jack)
sliced tomatoes
shredded lettuce
sliced onions, if desired
Italian salad dressing

Instructions:

Open the sub roll and spread with mayonnaise and mustard.
Place about one ounce of each variety of meat on the roll, one slice at a time.
Cut 1 slice of cheese in half and place on top of meat.
Top with sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and onions.
Drizzle with Italian salad dressing.
Close the sub roll and cut in half crosswise.


I use Buddig meat in the small pouches (2 to 3 ounce size).
The varieties of meat I use most often are beef, ham and pastrami.
