For each sandwich, use the following:
1 sub or hoagie roll
2 to 3 varieties of thin sliced lunch meat
1 ounce sliced cheese (cheddar or Monterey jack)
sliced onions, if desired
Italian salad dressing
Open the sub roll and spread with mayonnaise and mustard.
Place about one ounce of each variety of meat on the roll, one slice at a time.
Cut 1 slice of cheese in half and place on top of meat.
Top with sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and onions.
Drizzle with Italian salad dressing.
Close the sub roll and cut in half crosswise.
