Dilly Onions
These are a little sweet and a little salty, with some dill thrown in for good measure.
Ingredients:
1 pint thinly sliced onions [I used 1 1/2 medium Vidalia onions]
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 white vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons dill weed [I used 1 teaspoon]
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in container.
Refrigerate overnight.
[I boiled the juice ingredients before adding to the onions.]

The dill floats around in the solution and using a sprig of dill might be more esthetically pleasing.
