A brief caveat: a relative made these pretty holiday wreaths. I enjoyed them immensely and asked for the recipe. I have yet to make them myself - but just may this year.
Yield: About 16 wreaths
1/3 cup margarine
1 (10-ounce) package regular marshmallows (about 40 marshmallows)
1 teaspoon green food coloring*
6 cups cornflakes cereal
Red cinnamon candies**
Vegetable cooking spray
In large saucepan, melt margarine over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat, then stir in food coloring.
Add cereal, then stir until well coated.
Using 1/3-cup dry measure coated with vegetable cooking spray, evenly portion warm cereal mixture.***
Using buttered fingers, quickly shape into individual wreaths.
Dot with cinnamon candies.
Source: Introduced to these by my cousins wife, Sandy; however, this recipe (which I believe is the one she followed is from a Kelloggs ad); posted by LuAnn for KRT.
