2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoon sugar
1 (8-ounce) can water chestnuts, chopped
bread crumbs, enough to hold meatballs together
salt and pepper
1 large egg, beaten
9 ounces crushed crushed pineapple
1 or 2 green peppers, cut in chunks
1/4 cup vinegar
dash crushed red pepper
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
Combine meat, 1/4 cup soy sauce, water chestnuts and 2 teaspoons sugar.
Bread crumbs may be used, if desired.
Dredge in flour.
Dip in beaten egg and fry.
Combine all other ingredients except cornstarch and water.
Cook until nicely done.
Add cornstarch to water and mix into remaining ingredients.
Boil for 1 minute.
Pour sauce over meatballs and serve.
