In Response To: Hot Dish vs Casserole ??? ()

I've heard hot dish and sometimes use it, as in "bring a hot dish," for instance to a potluck, as opposed to a cold dish (salad, etc.); but, normally, I use the word, "casserole." I've never heard "pitch in" used instead of potluck.
