I think the method in a pan in that second link would work just fine.

I hadn't seen that one when I decided to make the things. I just knew I didn't want it to float. Been there with hush puppies and such--can't get the other side to stay downward after the first side browns. Less oil would fix that.

I would imagine you're pretty creative, yeah. :smile
