Butter Rich Spritz
BUTTER RICH SPRITZ
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup BUTTER, gradually add
1 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar, creaming well
2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
Dry ingredients gradually, mix thoroughly.
Press a small amount of dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie
sheet, using any plate to make desired
shape. Bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes.
I think if you wanted to make these without a cookie press, you could do that. I would roll them into a sausage (about 2"- or more, if you wish, in diameter), refrigerate to chill, and then slice them as you would any refrigerator cookie. (I have NOT tried it, however!)
