I look forward to trying the "Brown Bread" someday.... I've been making recipes with sugar and flour in them very infrequently - especially these past five months while my grandchildren have been here. The 5-year old is a Type 1 diabetic who eats a very low carb diet. My 9-year old grandson is highly sensitive to gluten as well as several other foods. I used to think "just" cooking vegan was challenging. This has taken the challenge to a whole new level. Today we are having pizza on a cauliflower crust. (I cheated and purchased frozen crusts at Trader Joe's. Most homemade recipes I have seen include eggs.)
I'm hoping the Brown Bread will be similar to a loaf of Hobo Bread I purchased at Greenfield Village a couple of summers ago.
