My experiences have all been failures...

similar to what you describe. Even when the product MAYBE looks okay, I haven't trusted it enough to eat any of it. We found a brand of canned sauerkraut we like and I figured my sauerkraut making days were over. I have added this product to my Amazon wish list and will consider it again when I place my next order. My MIL was saying just the other day we should make some kraut...
