The first one I did was this one...

It fit well, but I didn't like where the pocket slit was, right in the middle. It didin't want to stay in a closed position, but that might be the softness of the fabric I used. The design of the mask is okay, though; fits snugly around the face.

The one I made yesterday was the Olsen mask. Pattern here: https://www.unitypoint.org/cedarrapids/sewing-surgical-masks.aspx
Easiest to follow instructions here: https://youtu.be/e10h_Ff0LSU

DH wore it to buy groceries yesterday afternoon.

I'm using a doubled up coffee filter for the insert. Good to know what you posted about the shop towels, although the ones I have are the least efficient Scott's brand. But they're probably better than a coffee filter.

I think we probably should be wearing them, but I'm also concerned that some people might get too relaxed, thinking they're totally protected when they're really not. I reminded DH that the mask doesn't make him bulletproof.
